Miriam Bales is a behavior specialist with 30 years of experience working with students as an educator. For fourteen years, she taught challenging middle school students in the classroom. For the past sixteen years, she has supported multiple schools within her district, working with students ranging from Pre-K to high school.
She holds a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Brigham Young University, a degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education Endorsement from Weber State University, and a degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.
Miriam was nominated for Special Educator of the Year in 2008 and was awarded the Bill Jensen – Utah CCBD award in 2018 for her dedication to supporting students with behavior challenges and disorders in Utah. With the creation of School2Home, Miriam looks forward to sharing her experience using behavior strategies and interventions to help children be their best selves.
When not working, you can find her enjoying the great outdoors, spending time with family and friends, or behind the camera perfecting her photography skills.
